The worries, hopes, and dreams you carry into the ballot box is what makes the right to vote so sacred in our country. We are so honored to have stood beside you in this journey. To those who exercised their right to vote in rural Arizona, thank you.
Our team traveled thousands of miles to reach the most underserved homes across Arizona and you welcomed us with open arms and open doors.
Though results can be unpredictable, the path ahead of us never was; rural communities were always going to be advocated for. The fight for economic mobility for the working class and working poor was always going to continue. The fight for women's rights and autonomy was always going to continue. Our immigrant communities, LGBTQ, BIPOC and all other vulnerable communities who have fought for their right to exist will always have an advocate and home at Rural Arizona Action. Always.
And, if we want to effect change at a systemic level for vulnerable and working communities we need to govern, and to govern we must first listen and understand.
As our team canvassed the great state of Arizona, the temperatures rose both literally and figuratively. And as November 5 approached, canvassers who pressed the fight in 115 degree weather welcomed the snowfall in those final days. As we transition into a season of reflection and rebuilding, Rural Arizona Action will turn inwards to ensure we are reaching out to all of our communities regardless of how they decided to exercise their most sacred right.
Let's build a shared vision, and create a future where every family and every community is valued, heard, and supported, together.
Thank you for being part of this movement for a stronger, more resilient and inclusive Arizona. As we look to the future, we invite you to stay involved and build community. Join us in standing together to support rural Arizona in the years ahead.
